Double the EstateAssist - Double the Reliability

Most people don't know that there are actually two EstateAssist apps. You go to your office or log on from home and estateassist.app just works. That is how it's been for the last year - when we have had a total of about 5 minutes of down time (one code update caused a few-minute hiccup and we were back to normal).


However, we know that the hundreds of users managing thousands of estates on our platform need to know that their data is always available and they can be getting their work done quickly and reliably at all times. That is why we built a twin to EstateAssist. An exact clone of the app exists on a separate platform - with simultaneous access to our users' data, that is safely hosted on Amazon AWS servers and consistently backed up every day.


This allows us to "flip a switch" at any time and all of our users can keep working without any lost time or data. In our second year, we don't expect to have another 5-minute issue, but if we do we know our users will not miss a beat. You can be redirected to the clone and keep getting your work done without any disruption.


Why put the time, effort, and resources into a secondary system? Because reliability is a foundational principle for our team. In recent years, Ohio probate software has been plagued by a lack of reliability. Updates to forms, new local forms, software improvements, and user support have all failed - to the detriment of Ohio lawyers and paralegals who need reliable software to properly serve their clients.


We have watched this trend and experienced it in our founder's firm's previous use of antiquated probate software. It has driven us to build EstateAssist with redundancy, fulltime support, and a team that is dedicated to continual improvement and service.
